As previously reported, the initial increase in annual statutory holiday entitlement comes into force on 1 October 2007, increasing annual holiday from four weeks to 4.8 weeks. The second increase in entitlement will occur on 1 April 2009 (later than originally thought), rising from 4.8 weeks to 5.6 weeks.
