Gangmasters: do you have to provide PPE free of charge?

A recruitment agency has successfully appealed against a condition placed on its gangmasters licence that all personal protective equipment (PPE) should be given to its workers free of charge.

The appeal ruled in favour of labour provider Miles Recruitment Ltd of Melksham, Wiltshire which had the full support of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) of which it is a member.
