A company has been fined a total of £100,000 fines and £33,000 in costs after a worker was electrocuted.
The prosecution followed an HSE investigation into an incident in which an employee of CFR Group PLC was electrocuted at its High Holborn site.
Philip Martyn was electrocuted while wiring a water-unit as another employee in a power switch-room turned on the electricity. There were no systems for locking off the power, only tape, to indicate which circuit could be switched... (472 more words)
