A refuse collector has been awarded £3,000 in compensation after being provided with a pair of ill-fitting protective boots by his employers, which caused a foot complaint, Thompsons Solicitors reports.
David Evans brought the case against Sandwell Metropolitan District Council after the Council ignored his request for proper fitting boots in order to do his job.
For health and safety reasons, refuse collectors are required to wear boots which help them to protect their feet.
