Durham County Council has been fined a total of £20,000 for five health and safety offences arsing from an incident in which a 100-tonne mobile crane overturned into a culvert where men were working.
The incident occurred on 1 August 2005 when the Council was constructing an extension to an existing culvert and repairing the head wall of the culvert.
