Security licensing in Scotland

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) has announced it is to launch its Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) in Scotland two months early.

Security licensing has been in place in England and Wales since March 2006. As Workplace Law reported previously, the largest survey of its kind following this deadline has suggested that regulation of the security industry has for the most part been successful.
