Fined for not having employers' liability insurance

    Companies are being warned that failure to insure their employees against liabilities for accidents and death while at work, will not go unpunished.

    The warning follows a case in which business owner Paul Everall was fined £1,800 and costs of £708 after pleading guilty to a breach of the Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969.
