Employee wins landmark shift patterns indirect discrimination case

    An employee has settled her landmark case against Scotland's largest police force after launching a sex discrimination claim in a dispute over shift patterns.

    Elizabeth Devine had challenged Strathclyde Joint Police Board's decision to change her shift pattern on the grounds that as a single parent she would be unable to work night shift due to child care difficulty.
