As part of the Health and Safety Executive's (HSE) ongoing drive to reduce accidents in the workplace and minimise employee injury, RDJ Colloids Limited has been fined £17,500 and ordered to pay £7,500 costs for breaching Section 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
The prosecution, at Maidstone Crown Court, followed an investigation by the HSE after a worker was killed while operating uninsulated tools close to overhead power lines.
