Is employee monitoring plain common sense or an invasion of privacy?

    Renfrewshire Council hit the headlines recently when they dismissed nine of their employees after porn was allegedly found on their computers. The probe centred on staff accused of accessing and storing "inappropriate" images on computers. Others also faced action for sending private e-mails and spending time using their computers for activities not related to work.
