The HSE has launched a new website area on the subject of thermal comfort and workplace temperatures.
The site explains that there is more to thermal comfort than the question of room temperature alone.
This is because environmental factors (such as humidity and sources of heat in the workplace) combine with personal factors (such as the clothing worn and how physically demanding the work is) to influence what is called a person’s state of “thermal comfort”.
