DIY store B&Q has received the highest fine ever imposed on a retail company for breaches of health and safety, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The £550,000 fine and order to pay costs of £250,000 followed an incident in which a female customer, Pamela Hinchcliffe, suffered internal injuries after a truck reversed into her and pinned her against a shelf unit. She later died in hospital.
