A bakery firm has been fined £25,000 and ordered to pay costs of £30,000 at Reading Crown Court, following an HSE investigation into an incident in which one employee was killed and another severely injured.
Montana Bakery Ltd employees Ravindra Warnakulasuriya and Leroy Moore were using a fork-lift truck to raise a two-tonne dough mixing machine in order to gain access to the drive belt underneath, which had failed, jamming the machine.
