Euro 2004: What Employers Need to Know

A survey carried out after the 2002 World Cup found that four out of 10 football fans called in sick during the World Cup, costing business £391m in total. The Euro 2004 tournament kicks off in Portugal on 12 June, followed closely by Wimbledon and the Olympics, leading some to predict a summer of ‘sickies’ and ‘cyberskiving’.
