Government Clamp-Down on Bad Behaviour During Union Recognition Ballots

    Intimidation by unions or employers during statutory union
    recognition ballots in the UK would be legally banned for the first
    time under proposals announced recently by Employment Relations Minister
    Gerry Sutcliffe.

    The Government amendments to the Employment Relations Bill introduce
    fair and balanced measures on all parties not to use unfair practices
    during statutory recognition and derecognition ballots.
