85% of Fleets Failing to Carry out Basic Risk Management

    Eighty five per cent of the UK's motor fleets are failing to carry out even basic risk management, according to insurance company Norwich Union.

    Data gathered from 12,000 of Norwich Union's fleet policyholders over the past 18 months showed that only 15 per cent are implementing "fundamental" risk management such as licence checks, driver handbooks, investigating accidents and pre-employment checks of driver competency and experience.
