Landmark Disability Discrimination Case: A Disabled Person's Right to Travel

    The Disability Rights Commission (DRC) has brought a landmark disability case against Stansted Airport and Ryanair, after a disabled man was charged £18 for the use of a wheelchair.

    Bob Ross, 54, who suffers from cerebal palsy, told the Central London County Court that the 1 km walk through Stansted Airport was too much for him. The DRC's chairman, Bert Massie, said "Disabled people should not have to pay more than anyone else for the right to travel." (1 more words)
