Architect Gillian Beckingham is to face a retrial on seven counts of manslaughter following an outbreak of Legionnaires' DiseaseĀ in Barrow-in-Furness in August 2002. This was the worst case of Legionnaires' in the UK. The original jury was dismissed on 22 April, having been unable to reach a verdict on the manslaughter charges she faces.
