The sex issue

Thirty years on from the introduction of sex discrimination and equal pay legislation, we might like to think that men and women, gay or straight, all operate on an equal playing field and enjoy the same rights and benefits as one another.

 

The fact is, however, there are still considerable inadequacies, and questions are beginning to be raised about the suitability of existing sex discrimination legislation in the 21st century.
