Licence to… protect your workplace?

The industry has been shaken (not stirred!) since the licensing system for contracted-in security services in England and Wales came into force on 20 March 2006. This means that those operating without a licence are now committing a criminal offence.
Back in February there were calls to delay the deadline due to difficulties in getting licensed in time, and the SIA is now dealing with a backlog of applications, which means that even those who have applied for a licence may currently be workin... (300 more words)
