Employers retiring employees at 65 at risk of age discrimination

The Age Concern Heyday challenge to the UK’s statutory retirement age of 65 has been heard by European judges this month after the High Court referred the case the European Court of Justice in July 2007. The case raises many important issues for employers and may prove to provide a landmark judgment.
