Employees' use of internet and e-mail facilities provided by employers has come under increased scrutiny recently following a number of high profile incidents.

On 24 July, the case of Applause Store Productions Limited and Firsht v. Raphael (2008) was the first libel and privacy case to reach trial concerning Facebook.
