Immigration law impacts on employers

This employment update focuses on the major changes immigration law is currently undergoing and the way in which these changes are impacting employers who wish to employ migrant workers from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

A points based system is gradually being introduced by the UK Border Agency (UKBA) to replace the existing work-based categories system.

The existing categories will be replaced by 5 sub-divided tiers.
