There is a legal requirement for the provision of accessible workplaces to enable disabled people to participate fully in employment. Sixteen years after the introduction of legislation to ensure equality of employment and provision of services, many employers, service providers and those involved in the design and/or management neither understand the legislation or how to address the issues surrounding the accessible workplace environment.
