A contractor is any person or organisation who carries out a trade or business to provide or manage works on behalf of the organisation that hires them.
There are two types of contractors – ‘term’ and ‘casual’. Term contractors are those who have made formal contractual agreements with their client (the client organisation they work for) with associated service-level agreements. Casual contractors are engaged on a more informal basis.
