Survival of the fit note?

The fit note replaced the traditional sick note in April 2010, with the idea being to empower GPs to help support those on sick leave in getting back to work sooner rather than later. However, according to research by the CBI, which lobbied hard to have the fit note introduced in the first place, the vast majority of employers are not confident that GPs have had enough training to use the fit note properly.
