The recent legal challenge that the Jobcentre Plus dress code amounts to sex discrimination, brought by former-employee Matthew Thompson, has attracted a great deal of attention and debate from media, employers and unions (reported on the Workplacelaw Network, 25 February 2003).
According to press reports, the Tribunal has now ruled in favour of Matthew Thompson, although the written judgment has yet to be published.
