Alcohol hand gels reduce workplace absence, study finds

    A research study has found that alcohol-based sanitising hand gels used regularly in the workplace can cut absence.

     

    The study of 129 people, published in the open access journal BMC Infectious Diseases, found that incidences of absenteeism due colds, diarrhea and coughs were significantly reduced when alcohol-based hand disinfectants were used by employees.
