A new report from CIFAS, the UK’s fraud prevention service, has found that in 2009 there was a 31% increase in staff identity fraud and a doubling of the number of disclosures of customer data to a third party.
The report – The Internal Betrayal - projects an increase of 62% in 2010 in the number of cases of staff unlawfully obtaining or disclosing personal data. This increase follows a 113% increase recorded in 2009 and, according to CIFAS, points to a link to organised ... (140 more words)
