Guidance published on employing refugees and asylum seekers

    The UK Border Agency (UKBA) has published new guidance to help employers understand the status of asylum seekers, refugees and those with humanitarian protection.



    The guidance highlights what documents employers should ask prospective employees to produce to ensure that they have such status and that they can lawfully work in the UK.



    An employer is acting unlawfully if they employ a person who does not have the right to work in the UK.
