Headteacher accused of Islamophobia wins right to £400,000 compensation

    A headteacher who quit her job due to stress after being accused of Islamophobia is entitled to damages of £407,000, the Court of Appeal has ruled.

    Erica Connor left her post at New Monument primary school after two Muslim school governors made allegations of religious bias and racism and campaigned for Islam to play a greater role at the school.

    Erica Connor carried out an investigation into the claims but found no evidence.
