Equality Bill could protect vegans

Vegans, cult members and atheists could have the same protection against discrimination as those with religious beliefs, according to Equality Bill draft codes of practice, which are currently out for consultation.

 

The codes of practice have been produced by the Equality and Human Rights Council (EHRC). The draft guidance  states:  “A belief which is not a religious belief may be a philosophical belief. Examples of philosophical beliefs include Humanism and Atheism.
