Birmingham City Council is cracking down on curry houses following a spate of injuries resulting from poorly maintained tandoori ovens.
Following a number of accidents involving employees at different curry houses in the city being seriously burnt when they lit tandoori ovens – known as tandoors – Environmental Health at Birmingham City Council launched a series of safety inspections.
