Data Protection: Delay in Part II of Code of Practice

    Date:
    17 May 2002

    Print friendly version

The Information Commissioner's Code of Practice for Employers has been discussed at length in previous articles by e80. e80 learned yesterday from sources at the Office of the Information Commissioner that publication of the much anticipated Part II of the Code of Practice will be further delayed probably until the end of this month. Part II of the Code will relate to Employment Records.

This delay will inevitably mean that publication of the final two parts of the code - which will look at workplace monitoring and genetic testing - will also be delayed.

e80 will look at new Parts of the Code (when published) in detail in future articles.
