A campaign to protect staff in licensed premises from verbal abuse and violence has been launched by safety inspectors in the Midlands.
Officials from the region’s local authorities have teamed up with the HSE to visit licensees to look for ways to cut the chance of workers being attacked.
Staff in pubs and off-licences can run a higher risk of work-related violence, ranging from verbal abuse to physical assault but their employers still have a duty to protect them.
