The Direct Access Government website has updated its pages to offer advice on when businesses need a TV licence, which may be of particular interest to those employers preparing to let staff watch the World Cup at work. Please use the link on the left or visit:

    http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/licence/licence_business.html

According to the site, your business doesn't need a licence if the TV set is never used to receive or record television programme services but is only used:

    - for closed circuit monitoring.
    - for watching pre-recorded videos.
    - as a monitor for computers.
