Sub-contractor claims unfair dismissal

A sub-contractor who ran his own limited company has successfully claimed for unfair dismissal after his contract with underground transport firm Alstom Transport was ended. The Tribunal judged agreed that despite the fact that Andrew Tilson paid his own tax and NICs, the way he worked with Alstom Transport meant that he was in effect an employee.
