The UK is now moving to the treatment phase for dealing with pandemic flu, as Government Ministers announce that the swine flu virus can no longer be contained. The change means an end to tracing contacts of confirmed cases and the use of anti-virals to reduce spread.
In Scotland, where the first UK case of the swine virus was detected, Scottish Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said:
