New dual discrimination law proposed

    The Government has proposed a clause in the forthcoming Equality Bill to protect people who experience discrimination because of a combination of two characteristics.

    At the moment, people may only bring separate discrimination claims relating to one protected characteristic; such as their age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

    However, the Government is concerned that some people still have stereotyped attitudes about certain groups ... (198 more words)
