Occupational asthma is the UK’s fasting growing workplace disease and affects between 1,500 and 3,000 people each year. The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is reminding employers of the need to protect their workers from this growing problem.
Every year in the UK, 7,000 people are thought to contract occupational asthma that is either caused by their work or is made worse by it. In some cases people are left disabled and unable to work.
