Contractors who bought and sold data unlikely to be fined

    Contractors involved in the construction workers blacklist scandal are unlikely to suffer any official sanctions from their actions, it has been confirmed. Although they may be sued by any workers who discover their details were bought – and subsequently used against them – and so may face many private legal claims, the contractors linked by the Information Commissioner to the Consulting Association are likely to escape official fines.
