Businesses reminded of noise protection responsibilities

    Businesses have been reminded of their responsibilities to protect staff from excessive noise after a Highways worker who was deafened on the job won compensation from a local council.

    The man won a substantial amount in damages when he lost his hearing while working with a number of noisy tools, including jackhammers and compressors.
