Pre-employment training helps workers face redundancy

Pre-employment training courses will make employees much better able to cope if they lose their job, according to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

The organisation says that courses may not themselves reduce unemployment figures, but would leave people better placed to find a new job if they are made redundant.
