Festive spirits cost businesses millions through staff sickness

    New research carried out by Norwich Union Healthcare suggests hangover-related sickness could cost British businesses up to £110 million. The study claims that around two million staff are likely to take time off work because of over-indulgence in food and drink at Christmas; employees in London and the South East most likely to take time off work for this reason.
