Skills revolution did not materialise in 2008, says BCC

    Key Government training targets have been missed, and the training system is as complicated as it was a year ago. That’s the damning verdict of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), who says the funding system for training ‘still baffles’ employers.

    The government pledged in January to make it easier for firms to access skills funding. But it has conceded that its skills brokerage service has underspent some £200m.
