2009: new beginnings

2008 was a year of surprisingly few major changes to workplace legislation. Aside from the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act, Energy Performance Certificates, the extension of the Sex Discrimination Act, changes to maternity leave, pre-registration for REACH and alterations to agency worker legislation, developments this year in employment law, health and safety and premises management were mostly minor.
