The 0.5% hike in national insurance (NI) contributions from 2011, announced in this week’s Pre-Budget Report, could increase employer interest in salary sacrifice arrangements.
That’s the view of global employment head at Ernst and Young Graham Farquhar, who says the rise “will make such schemes more attractive to employers.”
