Double compensation for sacked worker

    A council which failed to follow an order from an Employment Tribunal has had to pay almost double compensation to a former member of staff.

    The landmark decision highlights that employers must comply with the rulings of employment tribunals, say solicitors acting for the dismissed ex-employee.
