Government launches minimum wage crackdown

    Employers who fail to pay staff the national minimum wage face unlimited fines from next year as part of a new Government campaign.

    Business Secretary Lord Mandelson helped launch the campaign with a Downing Street roadshow which will travel the UK, advising workers on their entitlements, and telling them how to complain if they have been underpaid.
