Data security warning for employers holding personal data

    Breaches of data security continue to generate negative publicity. Although awareness of security risks is rising, the number of persisting high-profile breaches which make the headlines highlights the need for employers to do more to protect the information they store, says international law firm Eversheds. 

    Employers must comply with data security law. The key regulatory authorities are the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
